First Established in 1893, Accrington & District Golf Club has really evolved over the past 120 years. Although now a 18 hole, tree lined, parkland course. It started out life as a 9 hole moorland course on a nearby hillside. In 1928 James Braid was hired to “tweak” the course to its current layout; and most recently in 1996; sixteen thousand trees we’re planted, turning it into a more parkland golf course. The club is very welcoming to visitors and well loved with many visiting parties returning year on year.

    Played here twice in 2008. First time the day's weather was awefully wet but the course stayed dry!!! At one point we all sheltered under the tree's and watched the water cascade off the green and through the bunker. …
