Originally designed by J.H Taylor and Fred Hawtree in 1930 the course has a tree lined feel on the front 9 and then moves onto a parkland style on the back 9. The course measures 6,404 yards and is a par 71 with a real variety of holes. The signature hole comes at the 4th which is a medium length par 4 but when the wind blows it can be a variety of holes in one with a tired green can make for an interesting approach.

Addington Palace Golf Club is set in the grounds of Addington Palace and it therefore shares much of the history. The clubhouse was originally the stables and many of the features can still be viewed inside and out. The 19th hole offers golfers a magnificent view over the course as well as the restaurant which can also cater for the larger societies.
