The par 71 Bingley St Ives Course winds for 6,324 yards through the picturesque countryside. Golfers should try to score as well as possible on the opening few holes here as after the fifth hole the fairways tighten and the difficulty steps up a notch, making it tough to make par or lower. The tenth – fourteenth holes situated on the moors can be very challenging if the wind picks up, and any shots that miss the fairway are likely to be punished by the thick heather.

Just off the A650, 7 miles North-West of the centre of Bradford.

Golf course

Bingley St Ives has a unique layout that takes the shape of a single loop which weaves it way through parkland, woodland, moorland and then back again, making for both an interesting and enjoyable round. In the 1980’s the course hosted an annual event as part of the PGA tour, and the course was played by the likes of Lee Trevino, Arnold Palmer and Brian Barnes. Past winners include Nick Faldo and Sandy Lyle.

Our view: Bingley St Ives Golf Club

Set in fantastic surroundings with some brilliant views of the local scenery, the Bingley St Ives golf course is a great choice to test players abilities with a nice variance of holes. However golfers should be aware that the course here is not easy, and less experienced golfers may struggle to play to their handicaps.
