Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club
Aberystwyth, Mid, Wales
A very traditional out and back links, the layout here is wonderfully simple and located almost on top of the beach with little protection from the elements. If it is windy here, prepare to be buffeted as strong winds and playing golf at Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club are almost inseparable. With magnificent coastal views across Cardigan Bay and over to Aberdovey, Borth is a wonderful and rugged layout that gives you a real taste of the game in its original form. The signature hole is the 2nd, aptly named Traeth as the side of the tee drops straight onto the beach. At 454 yards, par 4, some say it is one of the hardest holes in golf with an incredibly narrow fairway and OOB on both sides. A bogey here is generally considered a good score.

Golfshake.comGreat course - very tight in places but dry even in a wet November. Easy walking and pretty flat but never uninteresting. Friendly staff.

Golfshake.comGood out and back links with some really tight drives early on.Need to watch out for passing traffic! Quality course with quick greens. Great value for money - we paid 10 to play last Saturday (Feb 2010)
