Roman Road (Celtic Manor Resort)

from £18.00 save 76%

The Roman Road Golf Course was the original resort course. Built in 1995 it has undulating USGA specification greens that ensure a tricky but true roll all year round. A very American style golf course with wide fairways guarded by large strategically placed bunkers makes it a real challenge for those who are a bit wild off the tee.

18 Holes, Par 69, Yardage 6515. Parkland.

The Montgomerie (Celtic Manor Resort)

from £18.00 save 72%

The par-69 Montgomerie Golf Course at The Celtic Manor Resort consists of some of the existing holes from the old championship golf course, the Wentwood Hills, along with brand new holes designed by the Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie. It’s signature hole the par 5 3rd has been voted amongst the top 1000 golf holes you must play before you die. With a mix of tree lined fairways with undulating parkland, this golf course is a real joy to play.

18 Holes, Par 69, Yardage 6294. .

Twenty Ten Course (Celtic Manor Resort)

from £123.00 save 30%

The Twenty Ten Golf Course is the only golf course in history to be specifically built for the purpose of holding a future Ryder Cup event; however looking past the prestige that surrounds it, the course really is an example of Welsh golf at its finest. At over 7,000-yards long from the white tees, and 10 water hazards coming into play, you’ll need great line and length to master this golf course. The signature 14th hole involves a tee shot to a fairway bordered by two lakes followed by an approach shot over water, not a hole for those with a weak resolve.

18 Holes, Par 71, Yardage 7493. .

Golf course

The Celtic Manor golf resort is possibly the most recognised in Wales, with a great reputation for outstanding golf and top quality service. In 2010 the resort is due to hold golf’s most prestigious event in the Ryder Cup, on the purpose built 2010 Golf Course. As well as this, there are two other great golf courses set in the beautiful land of the resort, making this a top golfers’ destination for mid and low handicappers alike.

Our view: Celtic Manor

It would be a crime for a golfer to pass through Wales without sparing a thought to play one of the great golf courses at The Celtic Manor Resort. With three quality championship golf courses to choose from players really are spoilt, plus once you’ve factored in the stunning Welsh scenery, this really is a venue worth booking a tee time at sooner rather than later.
