Perhaps the most challenging course in the Lothian’s, Deer Park extends through natural parkland. The golf course at Deer Park Golf and Country Club is a traditional parkland course with great views over the dominating Scottish countryside. The course was designed by Peter Alliss, Dave Thomas and Peter Clark and has undulating greens and well positioned bunkers.

Golf course

Deer Park was designed and built by Peter Allis, Dave Thomas and Peter Clark in 1978, and has become one of Central Scotland’s leading Golf & Country Clubs. It has been host to many golfing events, some of which were the Scottish PGA Championship and was a Regional qualifying course for The Open Championship.

Our view: Deer Park Golf & Country Club

Deer Park Golf Club is not the most demanding golf course but can provide an interesting challenge when there are windy conditions. The front 9 holes are routine straight fairways but the back 9 provide a test due to the mountainous terrain.
