Forest of Galtres Golf Club boasts a lovely 18 hole golf course measuring 6,534 yards with a par of 72. Mature oak trees and several instances where water comes into play make this a test for golfers of all abilities. The lakes on the golf course were designed as part of the irrigation system – keeping the golf course dry and providing hazards on several holes. A computer controlled pop-up irrigation system then keeps the tees and greens in top condition. All of the greens are maintained to USGA standards and are playable all year round.

Golf course

Nestled in picturesque parkland just outside York, Forest of Galtres is a perfect 18 hole venue. Several of the holes provide stunning views over the surrounding area, with York Mister being visible from the seventh green, and 20 miles to the North, you can see the White Horse of Kilburn on the Hambleton Hills.
