Course Information

The golf course is set on hillside that overlooks the town of Henley in Arden. The parkland course measures 6,688 yards and has a par of 73. Being precise on approach shots is key if you are looking to score well, but you can really go for it on your tee shots as the fairways are quite wide and forgiving. This course is fair in some places but will offer a stern test to golfers of all abilities.

    Southwell always offer a fair
very good facilities on and off the course friendly atmosphere by all staff, greens were a little slow as they had just been hollow tined and top dressed which made putting consistency was also therefore questionable, even with this the greens would hold a ball from approach shot. Bunkers need some attention as the sand what there was of it was very hard/crispy which is possibly due to the effect of previous wet days almost like soil could due with emptying and new sand being installed. On the whole very enjoyable course and we had a good day.

    Birmingham Play for enjoyment
Best breakfast I've had in a long time, and I was made to feel welcome,
Parkland course in long a wide, and in decent condition.
Greens will be better have been hollow tined a little while ago, but acceptable.
Bunkers not so good, so don't go in the bunkers.
    Will definitely go again.

Average condition given the time of the year and will need significant investmet to get it to the level that the website pictures were taken (circa 2006)
