Regarded as one of the best golf courses in Derbyshire, Horsley Lodge Golf Club is a superb all round golfing venue. 20 years of substantial investment in Horsley Lodge have brought it up to a high calibre with USGA specification tees and greens. This is most certainly a thinking man's course, so careful club selection for the approach shots is key. The last 3 holes are something special, with the surrounding woodland playing a major part. Kept in great condition year round, it has recently been ranked as the number 1 course in Derbyshire in the HSBC rankings.

Based at the foothills of the Peak District, 5 miles North East of Derby, Horsley Lodge is easily accessible from the A38, close to the village of Horsley.

Our view: Horsley Lodge Golf Club

Rapidly becoming one of the names in the region, Horsley Lodge is an excellent course that has built its name on excellent maintenance and an enjoyable layout. It certainly belies its age with a mature feel. Forgiving in parts, demanding in others, there is a lot to appreciate here with wonderful countryside and high quality golf.
