Old Course (Letham Grange Golf Club)

The par 73 Old Course measures 6,968 yards in distance and is ranked in the top 100 courses in Scotland. 13 of the 18 holes contain water to be aware of, with the 10th being a particularly special hole that will challenge even the most experienced golfers. The course has a varied layout and uses a combination of tree-lined fairways, undulating terrain and well placed water hazards to test golfers abilities. Strategic play will be needed around the course if a low score is to be achieved.

Glens Course (Letham Grange Golf Club)

The Glens Course is the shorter of the two at Letham Grange at 5,528 yards from the white tees. It offers more of a “relaxing” round of golf than the Old Course, but is by no means a pushover. The course winds through the wonderful woodland surroundings and offers some stunning views over the Angus Glens in the distance. The opening nine is relatively straightforward, however the closing stretch of holes are a lot more demanding and golfers will need to step up their game to finish well.

18 Holes, Par 65, Yardage 5528. Parkland.

Located in the peaceful Angus countryside, just North West of Arbroath.

Golf course

Lethan Grange was designed by Donald Steel and opened by Sir Henry Cotton in 1987. At first the only course on offer was the old course until 1991 when the glens course opened offering golfers 36 holes of golf. After your round you can enjoy a drink or two in the modernised clubhouse which boasts a magnificent atmosphere which is perfect after what is sure to be a testing round.

Our view: Letham Grange Golf Club

This course is one of Scotland’s hidden gems. Both courses are great, although players looking for a good challenge should be encouraged to play the old course. Both the fairways and greens are in immaculate condition and this course is a must play if in the area.
