Solid course management is essential to score well and you will need to head down the 15th with focus to tackle to treacherous final four holes. There are a varied challenges to take on including ravines and thick vegetation at this lakeside course. Mere Golf & Country Club also has an American style floating ball driving range to fine tune the swing before heading out.

Mere Golf & Country Club is located on the outskirts of Mere village, only 3 minutes off the M6 (Junction 19) and 4 minutes drive away from the M56 (Junction 7).

Newly nominated as a Regional Open Qualifying Venue for 2009-2013 Mere Golf & Country Club has been classed as "The Wentworth of The North" by commentators. Famous for its natural beauty as much as its tremendous James Braid course design, golfers are treated to a glorious mixture of colour and plant life all the way round this wonderfully maintained track.
