Monmouth Golf Club is an undulating parkland par 69 golf course that measures 5582 yards. It is well maintained throughout the year and always receives positive feedback from golfers. The par 4 8th hole named ‘Cresta Run’ was recently listed in Britain’s 100 most extraordinary golf holes. Monmouth Golf Club has also received a nomination for the countries best value green fees.

Location

Situated half a mile north of Monmouth town, just off the A40.

Golf course

Monmouth Golf Club has been in existence since 1896 but officially opened as an 18 hole golf course on 18th July 1992. Monmouth Golf Club is one of the most attractive golf courses in Wales and provides golfers with picturesque views of the Welsh hills and Wye valley. The surrounding area also has wildlife in abundance with deer, pheasants and rabbits to be spotted. All golfers will enjoy a warm welcome and can also make the most of the excellent catering facilities before or after their round.

Our view: Monmouth Golf Club

A tee time at this golf course itself is quite a challenge but still a pleasure to play. The undulations in the golf course mean that there are few places, apart from the tees, where you get a flat lie. The 2nd, 4th, 8th and 14th are great holes, as is the 9th which shapes around the farm in the middle of the golf course. The greens are regularly maintained and are renowned for there fantastic condition.
