The main course at Newmachar is the 6700 yard Hawkshill Course that was opened in 1990 and has been endorsed by Peter Alliss. This par 72 is one of the toughest golf courses in the area and has hosted major championships such as the Scottish Professional Championships and the Scottish Seniors Open.

Swailend Course (Newmachar Golf Club)

At 6.338 yards the par 72 Swailend course is the secondary golf course that was opened in 1997. This provides golfers with a slightly less demanding round yet it is still an excellent test for golfers of all standards.

Located on the outskirts of Aberdeen, 5 miles from the International airport.

Golf course

Opened in July 1990 the Newmachar Golf Club is one of the true tests in Scottish golf. The club boasts two excellent golf courses, a spacious driving range and a short-game practice area. The clubhouse provides visitors with panoramic views over the Hawkshill course and has a full catering service. Newmachar Golf Club welcomes all visitors and societies to their club.

The Newmachar Golf Club has two top golf courses. The Hawkshill golf course in particular is a great test of a golfers ability with lots of very tight driving holes and water hazards to test your nerves. Every hole is a challenge and the par 3 9th downhill to a green with water close to the edge epitomises the golf courses design.
