The parkland scenery that holds Northop Country Park Golf Course is nothing short of breathtaking. With long, meandering fairways and mature trees forcing you to keep to the fairways, it’s hard to find a more picturesque round of golf. The front 9 holes are a challenge to all golfers, with doglegs and Drivable par 4’s. The back 9 is very impressive and has an older feel to it with well positioned water hazards and large oak trees. The Par 5 – 11th hole is the most challenging of the holes with; two streams to negotiate, narrow fairway, and large over hanging trees make ball positioning all the more important.

The area is easy to access and has great facilities, including a beautiful Georgian clubhouse.

Our view: Northop Country Park Golf Club

With hints of its impressive past all around the estate, this is still a very enjoyable course in the North Wales countryside. While there are some routine holes on the opening stretch, the course really comes into its own in the back nine. Holes 11, 12 and 13 at the far perimeter of the course really standing out as the most imposing, just make sure you avoid the streams.
