Designed by Clyde B Johnston, the past president of the American Society of golf course architects, Norwood is one of the longer courses in the area at 6,805 yards. The layout of the course means that it can be quite tough for beginners, particularly the front 9 which plays host to two lengthy par 5’s. The first of these features a large pond which must be crossed and the second has a tricky right to left dogleg to contend with.

Norwood Park is quickly becoming recognised as one of the best golf courses in the Nottingham region. The fantastic layout of the course has a good mixture of holes, and with well shaped fairways, large USGA standard undulating greens and picturesque views over the surrounding countryside it is clear why this is recognised as a hidden gem of the North.

Our view: Norwood Park Golf Club

The layout of this course is magnificent, however it may cause a few problems for higher handicaps as some of the holes are particularly challenging. There are a number of blind holes to face, so a course planner may come in handy.
