Pennard Golf Club is a Par 71 links golf course, measuring 6,225 yards. The golf course emphasizes the need for strategic play and supplies golfers with excitement of the highest order. The golf course has hazards aplenty with 40 bunkers that may not be exceptionally large but are very well positioned and can prove lethal. Location

Located just off the A4118, 8 miles south west of Swansea.

Golf course

Golf has been played at Pennard Golf Club since 1896 and since then the golf course has been redesigned by both James Braid and C.K. Cotton. Situated in the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding beauty, this exceptional terrain is not beside the shore its two hundred feet above it. The golf course is named ‘the links in the sky’ and was rated the 4th best golf course in Wales by top100golfcourses.co.uk. World famous golf course architect Tom Doak once said “Pennard Golf Club is one of my all time favourites – the site is one of the most spectacular I’ve ever seen.”

Our view: Pennard Golf Club

Overall this is a tough but extremely enjoyable golf course to play. A particularly interesting hole is the 351 yard 7th which heads out to sea from a high tee and leads players through the sparse ruins of a 13th century church and more imposing remnants of Pennard Castle.
