This is a typical tree lined meadowland golf course measuring just over 6,100 yards. A challenging course from the word go, with the first tee dog leg, you have to place your shot well otherwise you will be out of bounds or playing through the trees. Location

Phoenix Golf Club can be found in the town of Brinsworth between both Rotherham and Sheffield, just off the A631 also within 1 mile of M1 junctions 33 and 34.

Golf course

Phoenix Golf Club was formed in 1932. The 18 hole layout you see today was unveiled in 1952 after additional land was secured. The clubhouse boasts a brilliant atmosphere perfect for a few drinks and food after your round. The club also offers it golfers a number of extra facilities including a well maintained putting green.

This is a gem of a golf course with an intriguing industrial backdrop. The members are amongst some of the most welcoming you can find and keen to offer their local knowledge. The greens are very receptive and run fast and true.
