Stranraer Golf Club is an 18 hole Par 70 parkland golf course measuring 6,308 yards. The golf course is well designed and golfers will particularly enjoy holes 3, 5 and 11. The 3rd requires golfers to cross a winding burn three times before reaching the green set between a large bunker on the left and a steep bank sloping towards the burn on the right. On the 5th golfers shoot from an elevated tee down to a tight, sloping fairway set between a dense gorse embankment and two inviting fairway bunkers accuracy of the tee shot is paramount. Finally the 11th entails a demanding tee shot with trees and out of bounds on the left, before a steep rise to a very fast green.
