Telford Golf and Country Club's picturesque 6,741 yard, Commander John Harris laid out par 72 championship golf course on 170 acres of land just north of the Severn Gorge. Originally called Great Hay Golf Club, it was opened for play in 1976 and has since then matured into an attractive parkland course featuring old trees, ponds and lakes. It offers many surprises, some challenging holes and high quality suspended water table greens. With just under a million pounds recently spent on the golf course it sure is up there as one of the best in area. 18 holes. Par 72. 6,741 yards. Parkland.

Telford Hotel & Golf Resort is set in 170 acres of picturesque Shropshire countryside with views looking across the Severn Valley and Ironbridge Gorge. The golf course was also the setting for Ian Woosnam’s first pro tournament win.
