The par 71 golf course at Worsley Park is an exciting challenge that was designed by European Golf Design in association with Michael King. This 18 hole parkland golf course, measuring 6,611 yards from the back tees has been designed so that is fits well amongst the natural contours of the terrain and the indigenous water features. The well conditioned greens and tees are all laid to USGA specification, making it a truly enjoyable golfing challenge for all abilities of golfer. In July 2004 Worsley Park hosted the European Challenge tour (the 4th largest golf event in England 2004) for the JJB Sports North West Challenge which along with high profile events such as the Professional Footballer's Association golf classic, the Ryan Giggs Testimonial Golf Day and also the inaugural Sir Alex Ferguson golf Classic, illustrates the golf course's growing reputation as one of the best golfing venues in the North of England.
