York Golf Course (York Golf Club)
In the early days the course was very open, now the fairways on the 6301 yards course are tree lined, but the flat course retains its natural heathland and heather heritage, and provides plenty of variety and challenge for the high and low handicapper alike.
This course is now over 100 years old and its age is really beginning to show. The tall trees, well established greens and fairways are a true sign of the age of this course. These features are paramount in defending the course from low scores, and will cause great problems for the more wayward player. The course is riddled with ponds and meandering streams that will be quick to gather any errant shots. Should you make the green in regulation, the undulating and well-groomed greens will cause havoc to those who are not on form with their putting. In all, this course is a great test of accuracy and nerves, and should not be missed off any golfers list of courses to play.
18 Holes, Par 70, Yardage 6301. Parkland.
