Built on what was once an unused quarry and farmland is Crosland Heath Golf Club, home to one of the driest courses in Huddersfield. With views stretching as far as East Riding, the club was opened in 1914 and boasts and impressive clubhouse which sports panoramic views across the 1st, 4th and 18th holes. The fully-stocked bar serves up a good selection of hot and cold drinks as well as bar snacks all year round. Make use of the practice putting greens and warm up areas before your round to sharpen your skills.
Due to the courses position, Crosland Heath Golf Course is quite a hilly course that provides some tough tee shots on both dogleg par fours. The surrounding trees provide a lot of protection for the fairways so accurate tee shots and good club selection are a must to get round with a decent score. The par 4 16th requires a long drive with a slight cut to get the perfect fairway position and your safest option will be to lay up in front the green.
